NCAAB: Two wins in row for UMass Lowell

Written by
Both teams in New Jersey Institute of Technology and UMass Lowell game into Saturday's game with one win a side. Something had to give as both teams battled for win number two and some much needed confidence.
Boston University and Kentucky. The odds coming into this game do not look too good for Boston University at all.
The Puerto Rico Tip-Off was in full swing Friday evening, Boston College and West Virginia did battle in round two of the tourney.
The then 25th ranked Harvard Crimson suffered a huge upset last Sunday at the hands of Holy Cross so Florida International knew they were getting a bunch of angry guys Thursday.
Coming into Thursday's matchup with Sacred Heart, UMass Lowell looked at that game as a winnable one but still had to get it done on the court.
With the Puerto Rico Tip-Off opening, no better teams to do battle then one from out east and one from down in the west.
Coming off a huge win against Harvard last week Holy Cross had a chance to move to 2-0 against Ivy League opponents Wednesday versus Brown.
Boston University and Norfolk State met on Wednesday evening with both teams in a sort of rebuilding mode. Would a guard-heavy Norfolk State team be able to hold down the well balanced Terriers from Boston University?
On the show, I will be chatting with the guy behind the famous NASCAR Sarcasm twitter account @nascarcasm. Stat Guy Stephen Conley, the winner of RTL's Chase Challenge contest, will be my special co host. We will also have Kate's Song of the Week and Things that make ya go hmmm..... See you 7-8pmEST for the fastest show on the radio!
The ACC is the ACC, it's a powerhouse conference and top to bottom full of very skilled teams. So, Northeastern knew they most certainly had their hands full Tuesday evening when they squared off with 1-0 Florida State.

Any team will tell you, 11:00 a.m. is an early start time but not many teams will tell you they won't be awake for the game. UMass seemingly wasn't awake and found themselves in a little trouble Tuesday against Manhattan.

NCAAB: Holy Cross stuns 25 Harvard, 58-57

Harvard-Holy Cross was the last game on the slate for Sunday's Coaches vs. Cancer Tripleheader and it didn't disappoint.
Sunday was a new day for UMass Lowell, a team coming off an embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Ohio State Buckeyes on Friday night. Rhode Island presents a different challenge for the River Hawks: Quickness and length.
Both of these two Boston-based teams entered play Sunday with identical 1-0 records and something had to give in game two of the Coaches vs. Cancer Tripleheader, venue- TD Garden.

Kevin Harvick becomes 2014 champion in walk-off fashion.
Northeastern and Boston University come into the 2014-2015 season bitter, bitter that the fact that both Boston-based programs had pretty good regular seasons last year but missed out in postseason play. They both matched up to take their anger out on one another Sunday afternoon in the Coaches vs. Cancer…

A big question mark for Boston College is always: what do they have? Will they be good, contending or a bust? Boston College entered Friday's game with a feeling that they're going to open up this season right and they did.

Friday night started off another year in UMass Lowell Basketball. Last year was UMass Lowell's first season in DI basketball and if you ask anyone around the team it was a dud of a year. But you have to start somewhere and UMass Lowell wants to prove their doubters wrong…
