The Cleveland Indians have hired former Boston Red Sox pitching coach Carl Willis to replace Mickey Callaway as Cleveland pitching coach. 
Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia opted to have left knee ligament reconstruction on Wednesday after finishing the 2017 season with seven home runs and 62 RBI. He had two trips to the disabled list during the season.
The Boston Red Sox today officially made the long awaited announcement that Alex Cora will be their new manager beginning in the 2018 season.
