Detroit Tigers Defeat Boston Red Sox 2-1

Tigers take three of four from Boston as the Sox drop the finale in Detroit behind Chris Sale.

Chris Sale makes his first start with the Boston Red Sox. Illness going around the Red Sox locker room and injury updates.

With their sixth straight win, the Boston Bruins will be heading to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since the 2013-2014 season. With the win over Tampa, the Bruins guaranteed themselves a spot in the top eight for the right to bring home Lord’s Stanley Cup.

The Bruins have now won two in a row to keep peace in a tight Eastern Conference playoff race. Tuukka Rask returned in net after missing last Saturday’s game against the Islanders. Rask made 24 of 25 saves in the win as Bruins used four different goal scorers.

With under two weeks to go until Opening Day. It is becoming crunch time for the Boston Red Sox. Here are some spring training notes. 

The Bruins have improved to 11-3 under Bruce Cassidy with a victory to start their four game Canadian road trip. Marchand scored three in the third period to lead the Bruins offensive attack.
