A Heartfelt Goodbye to a Dear Friend, @A_E_M
Tuesday, August 26th, was a very sad day in the family and community here at CLNS Radio. Tuesday marks the day we lost a dear friend, colleague, NCAA guru, blogging machine, and PODCAST PROFESSIONAL. Long time CLNS Radio podcaster, and columnist, Alex Mazzolini passed away Tuesday evening. Alex Mazzolini was not only a veteran podcaster, he was also the first person (besides Brandon Paul) that I shared my vision for a new concept; a "blog" full of "internet radio shows."
Today we call this concept a Sports Podcast Network...
[VIDEO] David Stern mentions several Celtics in his Hall of Fame Speech
Eloquent as ever, former Commissioner David Stern, accepts his induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Stern gives 15 minute speech, and mentions his first impact moments, working with the NBA , revolved around the racial tensions of the 1960's and how Bob Cousy and Bill Russell working together started to tear down those prejudices. The speech is Mr. Stern at his finest, caddy and snide, yet laced with some comical moments. He certainly doesn't fall short on his mentions of the Boston Celtics franchise and Alumni.
Happy 86th Birthday to Bob Cousy
The Houdini of the Hardwood, Bob Cousy, turns 86 years young today.
