The Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament was in full swing Saturday and a good game on the doc at the Mohegan Sun Arena was that of UMass taking on Notre Dame. A battle of two undefeateds.
Both teams in New Jersey Institute of Technology and UMass Lowell game into Saturday's game with one win a side. Something had to give as both teams battled for win number two and some much needed confidence.

NCAAB: Walker scores 23 points to lift Northeastern over Florida State, 76-73
Written by The ACC is the ACC, it's a powerhouse conference and top to bottom full of very skilled teams. So, Northeastern knew they most certainly had their hands full Tuesday evening when they squared off with 1-0 Florida State.
Any team will tell you, 11:00 a.m. is an early start time but not many teams will tell you they won't be awake for the game. UMass seemingly wasn't awake and found themselves in a little trouble Tuesday against Manhattan.
Harvard-Holy Cross was the last game on the slate for Sunday's Coaches vs. Cancer Tripleheader and it didn't disappoint.
Sunday was a new day for UMass Lowell, a team coming off an embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Ohio State Buckeyes on Friday night. Rhode Island presents a different challenge for the River Hawks: Quickness and length.
Both of these two Boston-based teams entered play Sunday with identical 1-0 records and something had to give in game two of the Coaches vs. Cancer Tripleheader, venue- TD Garden.
