Jess Thomas

Jess Thomas is the Red Sox Beat Team Manager and a member of the Boston Celtics beat team for CLNS Radio. Jess is a co-host on CLNS Radio's Red Sox Beat Podcast as well as a contributor to Celtics Postgame Shows.

Jess also currently writes for the Stow/Bolton Independents and The Item. 

Jess currently is an archiver/digitizer at the official home of Boston Celtics telecasts, Comcast Sports Net New England.

Previously, Jess was General Manager for Framingham State University's radio station, WJDM 91.3 FM, as well as sports editor for FSU's newspaper, the Gatepost.

Prior to joining CLNS Radio, Jess was an intern at CSNNE as well as WCVB.

Jess is a 2014 graduate of Framingham State University, with a degree in Communication Arts.

In a series the Boston Red Sox (42-51) desperately needed to get back into the race, the team fell flat on their face and was swept away by the Los Angeles Angels (52-40) in a 7-3 loss in the second game of the day-night doubleheader on Monday. 

Could you picture Paul Pierce in Lakers' purple? Nah, he can't either. 

Former Celtic captain, Paul Pierce, said on Monday to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe that he could never play for the Los Angeles Lakers, despite growing up a purple-and-gold fan. 

In the most epic of fashion, hometown boy Todd Frazier hit a walk-off home run in the bonus round of the 2015 Home Run Derby to beat young star Joc Pederson 15-14. 

In perhaps one of the biggest games of the year in terms of division placement, the Sox (41-46) lost their starter and played poor defense in a 5-1 loss to the New York Yankees (47-39) on Friday night. 

The Boston Celtics (0-1) didn't have enough firepower against the Utah Jazz (1-0) in the first summer league game and fell 100-82 despite 26 points by Marcus Smart 

Ryan Hanigan did work early in the game with 3 hits and 2 RBI and Hanley Ramirez did work late with a 7th inning 2-run blast and the Red Sox (39-45) took two of three from the AL-leading Houston Astros (48-36) with a 5-4 victory on Sunday. 

The Boston Red Sox (37-45) came into the game winning five of the last seven games, but ran into a relentless Houston Astros (48-34) squad that punched the Sox in the gut to the tune of 4 runs in the 10th inning, taking home a 12-8 win.
