Boston Red Sox Beat Team 2016 Predictions

With the 2016 season just around the corner, the CLNS Radio Red Sox Beat Team gives their predictions of what to expect from the team, with over/under, an x-factor, a breakout player, three bold predictions and where the team will finish this year.

Boston Red Sox top pitching prospect Michael Kopech broke his right hand in an altercation with a teammate and showed up with a cast on his throwing hand to camp on Tuesday.

In a year where most people are looking at Hanley Ramirez, Pablo Sandoval, David Ortiz, David Price and Craig Kimbrel as the keys to the season, I am forging deeper into the team and watching for little-known and seldom talked-about reliever Carson Smith as my player to watch for in 2016.

The Boston Red Sox are in the midst of the Baseball Winter Weekend in Connecticut, and catcher Christian Vazquez is looking and feeling great following Tommy John surgery on April 2, 2015.

Less than a week after the Red Sox signed free agent David Price to a monster contract, the front office was at it again on Monday, trading Wade Miley and Jonathan Aro to the Seattle Mariners for reliever Carson Smith and starter Roenis Elias.

The Boston Celtics (11-9) nearly completed a double digit comeback against one of the best teams in the NBA in the San Antonio Spurs (17-4) but the Spurs held on at the end for a 108-105 victory.
