The NHL off-season is just about coming to an end and the Bruins are getting ready for the regular season to start. Before the regular season starts though we have to look toward the preseason which begins on September 18th, against the Montreal Canadiens, In Montreal. Then they are home on 9/19 against the Detroit Red Wings. On 9/21 they are away against the Philadelphia Flyers. Then they play against the Detroit Red Wings on 9/23, home to play the Chicago Blackhawks on 9/25, away to play the Philadelphia Flyers, and on 9/30 they are away to play the Chicago Blackhawks.
The preseason we will get a chance to see how the rookies do. The Boston Bruins rookies held their annual Rookie camp this past weekend, where we got to see a glance at what's coming. Rookie Jack Studnicka scored a goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins, also Jesse Gabrielle against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The second game was against the Buffalo Sabers, the scorers in that game were Justin Hickman, Andres Bjork, Ryan Fitzgerald, and Sean Kuraly. The third game against the New Jersey Devils the goal scorers were Justin Hickman, Victor Belgund, and Jack Studnicka. On September 18th though we will get a first real look at the rookies, and see what this young team is made of. The David Pastrank negotiations have come to a stand still has reports are saying he's getting offers to play in the KHL. Hopefully they come to a deal soon, because they don't need any distractions that will affect them on the ice. I'm anxious for the season to start and will be interested so see how the rookies look on September 18th.
