ESP #025: NBA All-Star Weekend | Has Zach LaVine Revived the Dunk Contest? | Steph Curry for MVP | Cris Carter did NOT use Stickum | Wes Welker: Hall of Famer? | Do the Denver Broncos want Peyton Manning back? | Scoring in the Evening

Written by

CLNS Radio presents The Evening Score Sports Podcast, hosted by Sean Bakke and Brian Langford.

In episode 25, powered by Lynda.com, Langford and Bakke recap the NBA's All-Star Weekend. Brian thinks the Timberwolves' Zach LaVine may have just revived the dunk contest. Steph Curry wins the 3-point shootout, hitting 13 shots in a row, but Sean and Brian both pick Steph as their first-half MVP.

Cris Carter replies to Jerry Rice's claim that everybody used stickum back in the day. Sean Bakke rants that Jerry Rice should be investigated since using a banned substance goes against the "integrity of the game". Sound familiar Patriots haters?

Now that the NFL's offseason has begun, many questions around the league need to be answered. One question that has been asked is whether or not Peyton Manning will return next season. Manning claims he's healthy and will be back, but do the Broncos want him back. Speaking of the Broncos, it has been rumored that Wes Welker might choose retirement over playing in 2015 although he says he's coming back. Sean asks Brian this question, revealing stats to cement his stance, is Wes Welker a Hall of Famer?

Brian Langford

A born native of Washington DC. Brian has been podcasting since 2010. He was the founder of the now defunct XSN Radio. Once I fell in love with sports I knew that I had to find a something that was sports-related and that he did. Brian covered Team USA in 2012 while the team was in Washington DC.  The excitement and pleasure that comes along doing radio is networking and hearing different peoples opinions. My dream is to live my life with this feeling and somehow make it in this industry. There is a saying that you have to follow your dreams, I say chase your dreams.
