With a handul of names being recalled from the minor leagues this past Friday, there is one player who stands out above the rest in helping this team improve.

Tonight, the Tampa Bay Rays (52-71) are set to host the Boston Red Sox (70-54) as they square up for round two of a a four game set sending out a righty vs righty matchup in Chris Archer (7-16, 4.18 ERA) and Clay Buchholz (4-9, 5.42 ERA).

Tonight, Boston Red Sox strong righty, Rick Porcello (16-3, 3.30 ERA) is set to square off with the Detroit Tigers and Cy Young candidate, Michael Fulmer (10-3 2.25 ERA) as the two teams tango for one of the two Wild Card playoff spots.

As the season winds down, there is one player whose performance is vital to the Red Sox making a trip to the post season.

Dave Dombrowski was a busy man in the weeks leading to the MLB trade deadline, but he made one move which was much more crucial than all of the others.

Tonight, Red Sox left handed ace, David Price (9-7, 4.26 ERA) is set to face off with the Mariners' Wade LeBlanc (1-0 4.26 ERA) in a battle of the Southpaws as the Red Sox look to gain another game on the AL East leading Orioles.

Red Sox Fall To Tigers In A Slug Fest, 9-8

The Red Sox drop a high scoring affair to the Detroit Tigers, 9-8 as the reliable Steven Wright gives up four runs in just the first two innings.

Tonight, the Red Sox (55-42) and knuckleballer, Steven Wright, are set for a Fenway faceoff as the Detroit Tigers (52-48) attempt to win the series by pulling out a win in game two with the help of starting arm, Mike Pelfrey.

With the Red Sox holding two immensely powerful trade chips, would it be a smart move to trade two potential future All-Stars for a current Cy Young contender?

The Red Sox (53-39) defeat the struggling Giants (57-38) in a nail biter after blowing an 8-0 lead.
