Reports: Brady injury not serious, MRI negative

Written by

FOXBOROUGH, Ma: Reports continue to trickle out suggesting Tom Brady's apparent leg injury is not considered serious.

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting, that an MRI on Brady's knee was negative and he now is considered day to day, according to an ESPN source with knowledge of the injury.

Many other reports are citing league sources who believe the injury is likely nothing more than a sprain.

Per Ian Rapaport: Asked the source if New England can breathe again: "Yes, everyone can breathe." So, everyone go ahead. (That exchange actually happened.)

While understandbly scary for Patriots fans, the injury did not appear to be overly significant. While he was in obvious pain immediately following the collision, Brady returned to the field after sitting out just one play and had no noticeable limp. After taking several more snaps Brady left the practice field for the remaining ~45 minutes of practice.

The team has yet to comment and there is still no word on his availability for Friday's game against the Buccaneers.
