According to T.J. Moe's agent, the undrafted wide receiver out of Missouri has been released by New England.
Moe, a slot receiver, was brought into Patriots training camp last season, and performed well, until tearing his Achilles during OTA's. He was subsequently placed on injured reserve.
The team was hopeful that Moe could develop into a productive slot receiver in the NFL but with the presence of Josh Boyce and the possibility of having both Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola on the roster, there simply was no room for Moe.
In his four years at Missouri, Moe amassed 188 catches, 2101 yards receiving and hauled in 11 touchdowns, per sports-reference.com
The move saves the Patriots less than $420,000.
