LINCOLN, Neb.--  According to a report from ESPN.com, Nebraska prosecutors are moving to have New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard’s probation revoked.

An arraignment on the revocation motion is scheduled for July 31, according to court records.

Last week, the 23-year-old was pulled over in Lincoln early Thursday morning and currently is charged with first-offense drunk driving, refusing a chemical test, and a traffic infraction.

This was his second arrest in 15 months, the first being for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest outside a Lincoln bar on April 21, 2012. He has not served a 30-day jail sentence for the incident yet, and that is scheduled for next March in connection with two years of probation.

Football-wise, Dennard is scheduled to report to the Patriots next Thursday, July 25th. The first open practice is Friday July 26.

Hopefully, Dennard has learned from his poor-decision making. If not, then he may not be in a Patriots uniform for much longer. There is a reason why a cornerback with his talent slipped down to the seventh round and last week, we may have seen some of the reason why. For his sake, hopefully he can get it together before it’s too late.
