According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the New England Patriots have agreed to terms with draft pick Josh Boyce. Boyce becomes the fifth rookie of the 2013 Patriots draft class to sign.
The contract for four years, $2.6 million with a signing bonus of $477,000. Boyce was the team's fourth round selection and the second receiver taken by the Patriots in this year's draft after second round pick Aaron Dobson of Marshall.
Boyce, a TCU alum, hasn't practiced with the Patriots yet due to recovery on a surgically repaired right foot. However, he has been riding the exercise bike and is expected to be ready for mandatory minicamp in June.
Boyce is a very quick receiver, the only receiver to rank in the top four at the NFL Combine, and made 22 bench reps. A somewhat undersized receiver at 5'11", he is expected to add some depth to an overcrowded and inexperienced receiving corps.
The signing of Boyce leaves the Patriots with just two unsigned draft picks, Dobson and seventh round pick Illinois' Michael Buchanan.
