The Patriots look to finish strong in another spectacular season and clinch home field advantage this week against the Miami Dolphins. Harris welcomes CLNS’ own Tyler Trudeau to talk about the playoffs and this weekend’s game against the Dolphins.
The Patriots had a tough loss in Miami to close out the regular season last year and also lost home field advantage. Both Trudeau and Harris believe having all home games in this year’s playoffs is essential to getting to the super bowl.
Trudeau explains his thoughts and considers this year’s post season an “Extremely competitive playoff”.
“Home field is more important than ever” Harris added. “If you look at a lot of these teams, it will be difficult to roll into Oakland or Kansas City and win” Harris then explained.
Trudeau also gives his thoughts on the game against the Miami Dolphins.
He thinks this game will not be a cake walk like the Jets game and will test the Patriots in the final week.
“This team is going to be fighting for their lives” Trudeau said of the Dolphins.
Although he thinks the Dolphins won’t go down without a fight, that does not mean the Patriots will roll over to them.
“Look for the Patriots to come out strong and fight off the Dolphins in a close ending”.
One other topic of discussion was the play of certain Patriots, including the secondary play and specifically, star Cornerback, Malcolm Butler.
“I really don’t want to say Malcolm Butler is elite, but he is proving me wrong”. Trudeau admitted.
“He is a top corner in this league”. He then added.
