The New England Patriots scored a crucial win against the hated New York Jets yesterday to maintain their standing atop the AFC. A big part in said win was the play of rookie wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell, who beat former Patriot and future NFL Hall of Famer Darrelle Revis for two touchdowns -- including the game winner.
Mitchell’s emergence has made himself a lot of fans. And many are taking notice.
"Malcolm Mitchell is going to be a great player. He runs great routes, he has the speed,” said Wes Langley on the CLNS Radio New England Patriots Post-Game Show. “He wants to learn. He has a skill set that a lot of receivers don’t have in this league.”
The rookie from Georgia finished with five catches for 42 yards. He scored the game winning touchdown as well as the game-tying TD in the first half as the Pats rallied from an early ten point hole.
Just imagine what’s in store.
“I just can’t wait to see what he can do in the future for the [Patriots” said Langley. To hear Wes Langley’s full call and full reaction to Mitchell’s output in Sunday’s big win -- listen into the CLNS Radio Patriots Post-Game show below.
