Boston Celtics center Brandan Wright has been traded to the Phoenix Suns for a protected first-round draft pick.

As the trade deadline gets closer, Boston Celtics GM Danny Ainge has got to decide what he's going to do with his overcrowded roster. LeBron James to miss two weeks with sore knee

After missing the past few games with a sore left knee, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced Thursday that LeBron James will be sidelined for two weeks with knee and back strains. James was averaging 37.5 minutes per game for the Cavaliers this season.

After being waived by the Detroit Pistons on Monday, Josh Smith has agreed to sign with the Houston Rockets. There were several teams interested in Smith, including the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, and Los Angeles Clippers, among others.

Now that Rajon Rondo has been traded away, the Boston Celtics and general manager Danny Ainge stand at a crossroad. Ainge has stocked up an abundance of picks over the last few years, and he is set up to potentially make some big moves in the near future.

With the NBA trade deadline drawing closer, the Boston Celtics need to take a long look at their personnel. Boston is poised to be one of the most active teams at the deadline this year, and they have plenty of pieces to deal. But before they can do that, the Celtics need to decide if Kelly Olynyk and Jared Sullinger can be a part of the future.

As the NBA trade season is set to begin, the Celtics are in an interesting position. They have two potentially valuable trade chips in Rajon Rondo and Jeff Green. And with the way Boston is playing this season, the best move may be to move away from one of them.

In advance of the showdown between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics Friday night at the TD Garden, Kobe Bryant and his teammates flew into Boston late last night. This morning, Bryant and Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo were spotted at a local restaurant together, sparking endless trade rumors.
