The Boston Red Sox (39-30) waste a strong start from Steven Wright as their offense and Kimbrel cost them late. The White Sox (34-36) scored two runs in the tenth inning after a sloppy ninth to take the first game at Fenway Park

The Boston Red Sox (39-29) will look to start off the four game series on the right note as they take on the Chicago White Sox (33-36) at Fenway Park. The Red Sox will look to make it three straight as Steven Wright (8-4, 2.22 ERA) takes the mound for Boston. Wright will look to win his sixth straight start. The White Sox will counter with Miguel Gonzalez (1-2, 4.74 ERA). Gonzalez has a good track record against Boston posting a 6-1 record with a 3.27 ERA.

The Boston Red Sox (39-29) get a strong performance from David Price to win the final game of three against the Seattle Mariners (36-33). Price pitched eight innings as the Red Sox offense came alive late to get the win. Mookie Betts was 3 for 5 and had a crucial home run in the seventh to break the tie.

Boston Bruins: Around the Rink 6/16/16

Gordie Howe passed away. Trades, signings, and rumors are swirling around the NHL and much more!

The Boston Red Sox (37-27) will look to win the series as the take on the Baltimore Orioles (37-27) in the rubber match of the three game set. Winner of this game will take sole possession of first place in the American League East. Eduardo Rodriguez (1-1, 6.06 ERA) will look to get back on track after a bad outing against Minnesota. The Orioles will counter with Tyler Wilson (2-5, 4.73 ERA) who is coming off a no decision against Toronto.

The Boston Red Sox (36-25) scored five runs in the eighth and ninth innings to win the second of three games against the Minnesota Twins (18-43). Xander Bogaerts and Sandy Leon both had four hits and the bullpen shut down the Twins offense as Red Sox move into a tie for first in the American League East.

The Boston Red Sox (34-25) will travel to Target Field to take on the struggling Minnesota Twins (18-41). The Red Sox will look to get back on track after dropping the second game against San Francisco. The Red Sox will hand the ball to knuckleballer Steven Wright (6-4, 2.29 ERA) for the first game of the three game set. The Twins will counter with Tyler Duffey (2-4, 4.79 ERA), who supports a 7.94 ERA in his last four starts.

Boston Bruins: Around the Rink 6/6/16

San Jose & Pittsburgh battle in game four of the finals, NHL draft approaching, around the NHL and more!

The Boston Red Sox (32-21) will look to win the four game series tonight after dropping last night’s slugfest to Baltimore (29-22).  The Red Sox offense looks to remain hot and hopefully get a better start than yesterday as they hand the ball to Rick Porcello (7-2, 3.68 ERA). Porcello has not been great in his career against Baltimore. In 12 career starts, Porcello is 3-7 with a 5.75 ERA. Baltimore will counter with Ubaldo Jimenez (2-6, 6.86 ERA). In Jimenez last four starts, he's 0-3 with an ERA north of ten.
