Boston Bruins: Around the Rink 7/12/16

Bruins development camp is underway, teams still making moves, around the NHL, and much more!

Baseball's best sluggers took their talents to San Diego to compete in the 2016 Home Run Derby.

The Boston Red Sox (49-38) used an early home run from David Ortiz and a solid outing by Price to sweep the Tampa Bay Rays (34-54) at Fenway Park going into the All Star break. Price went eight strong innings to shut down the Rays and earn his ninth win of the season. The Red Sox will go into the  break on a high note as they finished with a 7-2 home stand.

The Boston Red Sox (46-38) will take on the Tampa Bay Rays (34-51) at Fenway Park in the final series before the All Star break. The Rays took two of three from Boston last week in Tampa. The Red Sox will look to bounce back as they send Sean O’Sullivan (2-0, 6.61 ERA) to the mound. The Rays will counter with Chris Archer (4-11, 4.50 ERA)

Boston Bruins: Around the Rink 6/29/16

Bruins making a contract offer? Major trades and signings, around the NHL, and much more!

The Boston Red Sox (41-35) pitching staff could not solve the Tampa Bay Rays (32-43) offense in this game as the Rays explode for 13 runs against the Red Sox pitching. Eduardo Rodriguez struggled again in this game as he could not get out of the third inning as the Rays take the first game of three at Tropicana Field.

The Boston Red Sox (41-34) will travel to Tropicana Field to take on the struggling Tampa Bay Rays (31-43). The Red Sox are looking to get back on track after losing two of three in Texas. Both teams have not been playing good baseball lately as the Rays have lost 11 straight games and the Red Sox have lost five of seven. The Red Sox will send Eduardo Rodriguez (1-2, 6.41 ERA) to the mound for the first of three. The Rays will counter with the number one rated prospect Blake Snell (0-2, 2.40 ERA).
