Michael Settipani joined CLNS Radio in July 2015 as a Bruins Beat columnist. Since then, Michael has also joined the Red Sox Beat team, and started the Bruins Beat podcast. In addition, Michael is a sports productions professional, and has held positions at HockeyTech Inc., Entercom Communications and NESN. 

Michael is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University where he obtained a B.A. in Communications.

Bruins Would be Smart to Trade Loui Eriksson

Loui Eriksson is having arguably his best year in a Bruins uniform. With the trade deadline just over a month away, Eriksson’s play has put the team in a bind.  

Ryan Spooner and Jonas Gustavvson helped lead the Bruins to a 4-1 win against the Sabres in Buffalo. 

The Bruins became the 2nd team in NHL history to notch win 3,000. This win helped kick off the Bruins road trip the right way. 

Spooner scored the only goal for the Bruins who are now 11-1-3 in their past 15 games. This game pushed the Bruins closer to their hated rival Montreal for 1st in the Atlantic Division.  

The one major issue this season for the Bruins has easily been defense. Without a significant upgrade, The Bruins do not have what it takes to make a Cup run. 

Predators comes to Boston and end the Bruins point streak as Bruins could not find their legs in this game.  

Boston College alumni Gaudreau scored his 2nd career hat trick as Flames skate past Bruins at home. The Bruins have now lost 2 consecutive games in overtime putting their road record at 8-2-2 for the season.   

The 1st place Rangers came to town to play in the Thanksgiving Showdown against Boston at TD Garden. The Bruins used a strong to outlast the Rangers 4-3 for their 5th straight win.

Home Woes Continue as Sharks Sink Bruins

Joe Thornton and the San Jose sharks used a strong 2nd period to defeat the Boston Bruins 5-4. This was the Sharks 3rd game on their 6 game road trip and the Bruins 3rd game on a 5 game homestand.
