This Saturday afternoon, the Nascar Camping World Truck Series will run their second race of the season.  The first event took place at Daytona International Speedway.  Johnny Sauter won that event.

Coming back into the race to defend last year is Sprint Cup Series regular Kevin Harvick.  During the event, he led 248 of 250 laps, which set a series record for the most laps led in a truck series event.

The track will bring back the beating and banging that the truck series is so very known for.  That hard-fought racing that all the fans enjoy seeing.  The trucks will be driving inches apart, side-by-side, in what will surely be an exciting battle.

The series next race will be at “The Rock” Rockingham Speedway on April 14th.

The Celtics continue their home-stand as they face the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight at TD Garden.

The Celtics Post Game Show is now live. Your hosts are Ty Ray and Brian Langford.

Expect multiple check-ins from TD Garden as the CLNS Personalities are in-town for the Boston Sports Blogapalooza event.

As always, the guys will be taking your calls and hanging out in the CelticsBlog chat-room throughout the 120 minute broadcast.

Following the Celtics Post Game Podcast, the Garden Report will go live. As a special guest, Jared Weiss, Jimmy Toscano and Evans Clinchey will welcome CLNS co-owner/co-founder Nick Gelso to the broadcast booth.

According to multiple sources today, Kevin Garnett will not play in Friday night's game vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers. According to Rick Murphy of the Boston Herald, Garnett partook in a flag ceremony today and may practice Saturday and is aiming for a return to action on Sunday.

Doc Rivers commented on Garnett after today's practice:

“I think he’ll be back, maybe as early as Sunday, but we still don’t know that,” said Rivers. “He’s still doing all of the running, he’ll do some court stuff without the team, and he’ll probably take part in shootaround (today), but I won’t play him (tonight against Cleveland). The ankle feels good.”

With just 6 games remaining until the playoffs, the Big Ticket could not come back soon enough. Though the Celtics seem to be pulling things together, behind the strong play of Jeff Green and consistent, all-around basketball from Paul Pierce, their is truth [no pun intended] behind the philosphy that the team needs to build chemistry going into the playoffs.

Paul Pierce also missed Friday's practice after tweeking his ankle in Wednesday night's game.

“I’m a little sore,” Pierce said. “We’ll see how it feels. If we played today I probably wouldn’t be able to go, unless it was a playoff game. The key right now is for all of us to get healthy.

Local Brewery Pays Tribute To Red Auerbach

Written by

In the past few years, I have been able to expand my beer horizons beyond the six-pack cans of Bud Light sitting around a fire or the bottle of Corona while soaking up the sun on the beach, not to take anything away from those beers. My wife calls me a "beer snob". Craft beer has become to hot trend in the beverage industry more recently and one local writer can easily be classified as even more of a beer snob than me.

Gary Dzen of The Boston Globe (@GlobeGaryDzen), for those who don't know, doesn't only cover the Boston Celtics for the Globe and Boston.com, but also writes about craft beer in a blog called "99 Bottles" which delves inside the world of craft beer. If you have any interest in this subject, I suggest you read it and follow Gary on Twitter.
