There's a new slam dunk king in town. And he's a gosh darn menace.

Hassan Whiteside nearly had another triple-double with eight blocks, but the Celtics stretched just past his fingertips to win a sluggish Saturday matinee. The Garden Report discussed Whiteside's defensive capabilities and limitations, plus the Cs stepping up with Isaiah Thomas struggling.

The Celtics survived a late run by the Bucks in a foul-heavy, gritty affair to win 112-107.

The Celtics sent a resounding message with their incredible overtime win over Doc River's Los Angeles Clippers in what may be Paul Pierce's final game in the Garden.

The Celtics came out on fire, but barely survived a royal rush. They beat Rajon Rondo and the Sacramento Kings 128-119 on Super Bowl Sunday.

The Celtics nearly blew a blowout game, as they survived a late Pistons run to win 102-95.

Avery Bradley was phenomenal in the first half and quiet in the second half. But the Celtics' ferocious defense and Kelly Olynyk's continued sharp shooting carried the Celtics over the Denver Nuggets.

Marcus Smart recorded his first career triple-double while Kelly Olynyk proved the manbun is a myth in a blowout win over the Suns.
