In this Game Theory episode, Chris Stone and Sam Vecenie chat about the 2017 NBA Draft about 20 minutes after it ended. First, they break down the Jimmy Butler trade, and how ridiculous it was that the Bulls decided to make this move.  Then, they answer who had their favorite drafts, and go into a pick-by-pick breakdown of many of the picks in the draft, all the way down to the second round.  You can follow Chris at @cstonehoops and you can follow Sam at @Sam_Vecenie. In this Game Theory episode, Sam Vecenie chats about the craziness in the NBA on Tuesday. First, he brings on Pete Zayas from over at Laker Film Room to talk about the D'Angelo Russell trade. Why would the Lakers do it? How much better does this make the Nets? They also chat quickly about the Dwight Howard trade and why Atlanta would do that, something Sam's still not 100% sure on.  Then, he chats with Jay King from over at Mass Live about the Boston Celtics. First though, they chatted about the Cavs not moving forward with David Griffin as their general manager, a dumbfounding move that I'm still not sure I understand. Then, they go into all of the crazy decisions Boston has this offseason, including their trade of the No. 1 overall pick, Jimmy Butler/Paul George, who they will look at with the No. 3 pick, and everything in-between.  Please remember to rate, review and subscribe to the Game Theory Podcast on iTunes. You can follow Pete at @lakerfilmroom, you can follow Jay at @ByJayKing, and follow Sam at @Sam_Vecenie. Thanks for listening!

In this Game Theory episode, Sam Vecenie chats with Cole Zwicker in a continuation of last Monday's podcast, this time breaking down the top-five players in the 2017 NBA Draft Class: Markelle Fultz, Jayson Tatum, Josh Jackson, Lonzo Ball, and Jonathan Isaac. It's obviously an extremely deep dive given the length of the pod. They also talk at the top about Sam's 15-hour excursion to the EYBL in Los Angeles on Saturday, including seeing Jay-Z in person and some of the best prospects in the class of 2018. Then at the end, they chat about a few guys they think they're higher or lower on than general consensus -- including Jawun Evans, Jordan Bell, Ike Anigbogu, and others.  You can follow Sam at @Sam_Vecenie, and you can follow Cole at @colezwicker. How Can the Jazz Take the Next Step?

In this Game Theory episode, Sam Vecenie chats with Tim Cato from SB Nation and Tony Jones from the Salt Lake Tribune about the upcoming offseason for the Dallas Mavericks and the Utah Jazz.  First, Sam talks to Tim about the Mavericks and their upcoming questions this summer, including what happens with Dirk Nowitzki, how the Nerlens Noel free agency talk could go, and what they should look for in the draft -- among other things.  Then, Tony and Sam have a long deep dive on the Jazz, chatting about the Gordon Hayward contract, the George Hill contract, the future of Derrick Favors and Rodney Hood, what the team should do with Joe Ingles, and generally if they think this team can grow into a title contender if things break right. They also break down the draft and their four upcoming selections.  Please remember to rate, review and subscribe to the podcast on iTunes. You can follow Tony at @Tjonessltrib and you can follow Tim at @tim_cato. Sam can be found at @Sam_Vecenie. Thanks for listening!

In this Game Theory episode, Sam Vecenie chats with Cole Zwicker from The Step Back. First, they break down Game 3 of Cavs-Celtics, which the Celtics surprisingly won. Then, for most of the episode, they do a deep dive into the prospects ranked No. 6 through No. 10 on my 2017 NBA Draft Big Board. First, we talk De'Aaron Fox, who Cole and I differ somewhat wildly on.  Please remember to rate, review and subscribe to the Game Theory Podcast on iTunes. In this Game Theory episode, Sam Vecenie chats with Reags from over at Barstool about a variety of topics. First, they chat about the official All-NBA selections. Did the voters get it right? Were there snubs? Also, what do they think about the media voting on it? Sam also gives an explainer on an idea to reform voting to make all parties happy.  Then, they chat about the NBA Draft lottery, which leads into a bit of a longer discussion on LaVar Ball's most recent FS1 appearance. They then also chat about the Sixers, about De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk, and about the Knicks and how the draft will somehow screw them in the end.  Please remember to rate, review and subscribe to the show on iTuners. You can follow Reags at @BarstoolReags, and you can follow Sam at @Sam_Vecenie.

In this Game Theory episode that occurred immediately after the lottery, Sam Vecenie chats with Chris Stone from over at The Step Back where they break down the lottery's results. What is the most important thing to happen from the lottery? What do they think the Sixers will do at No. 3? What do they think of the lottery process in general? What do they think of lottery night? Then, they go fully into a mock draft of the lottery, where they break down an initial, quick reaction to what they see on the board in the top-14. The key here is that Philadelphia holds all of the cards on draft night. What they do will shape the entire event.  Please remember to rate, review, and subscribe to the show on iTunes. You can follow Chris at @cstonehoops, and you can follow Sam at @Sam_Vecenie. A quick heads up: the first minute of audio gets rough, then is perfect the rest of the way.

In this Game Theory episode, Sam Vecenie chats with Ricky O'Donnell from over at SB Nation about the NBA Draft Combine. What happened at the event? They talk at length at the top about the usefulness of the combine, and how valuable the event is for NBA teams and the public at large. Then they get into speaking about specific players. They chat at length about Hamidou Diallo, Frank Jackson, Jordan Bell, all of the big men in the middle of the first round right now, Semi Ojeleye, Terrance Ferguson, Justin Patton, Jonathan Jeanne and ball-dominant scoring guards. All of that and far more in a wide-ranging, hour-long conversation from two people who covered the event. As always, please remember to rate, review and subscribe to the podcast on iTunes.
