Detroit Tigers/Boston Red Sox Game One Preview

The Red Sox and Tigers start their ALCS matchup tonight in Boston. Tonight's first pitch is at 8:07 p.m. eastern on Fox.

Left-hander Jon Lester will get the ball for the Boston Red Sox and Anibal Sanchez will be the starter for the Tigers. Lester finished the 2013 season 15-8 with a 3.75 ERA in 213 1/3 innings. Sanchez was 14-8 with a 2.57 ERA on the season. 

In game three of the ALDS  Sanchez gave up three home runs to the Oakland A's. His final stats in the game were six runs on eight hits and two walks in 4 1/3 inning. 

Lester had a much better ALDS outing as he gave up two runs on three hits in 7 2/3 innings against the Tampa Bay Rays.
