http://fullcount.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/red-sox/2013/08/11/red-sox-minor-league-roundup-jackie-bradley-jr-shows-some-power-webster-stays-consistent-david-ross-sees-game-action-carlos-garcia-luis-diaz-shine/ Here is how the Sox minor league players have done recently. Christian Vasquez is still on a tear and Matty Johnson who some people thought would be cut before the season continues to thrive in Portland and I can proudly say I was for him staying the whole time. Also, Allen Webster has looked sharp but I still don't think he will be major league ready until next season and see him as a Doubront type that will eventually break out despite never proving much.
http://nesn.com/2013/08/john-lackey-battles-through-seven-innings-but-red-sox-cant-overcome-shaky-start-video/ Yesterday was a decent outing by Lackey but sometimes decent just doesn't get the job done and that describes yesterday perfectly.
http://nesn.com/2013/08/david-ross-close-to-returning-to-boston-but-red-sox-being-careful-with-rehab-video/ Hopefully Ross can help the Sox by giving Salty some rest and doing well, especially defensively where the Sox need help.
http://www.boston.com/blogs/sports/baseball/redsox/extrainnings/2013/08/red_sox_5_royals_3.html All I can say about Ellsbury is: resign the man. He does his job, steals a ton of bases, but the only problem is the Sox will have to play hardball with Scott Boras who I am not a huge fan of.
http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/2013/08/pitching_matchups_for_the_blue_jays_series_1.html Based off of these pitching matchups, it would be hard for the Red Sox not to sweep this series. They really seem to favor the Sox since the Sox love to face bad pitching.
