Red Sox Lose 10-4 to Blue Jays as AL East Lead Slips to 2.5 Games

Written by

The Boston Red Sox dropped their third straight game tonight in a sorry 10-4 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays at Fenway Park. The reigning American League Cy Young winner, Rick Porcello, took the loss giving up 10 hits and 7 runs, including 3 home runs. The loss drops the Sox lead in the AL East to 2.5 games as the New York Yankees won today defeating the Orioles 7-4 in Baltimore.

Joe Danker

My name is Joe Danker. I'm a lifelong New England sports fan who loves nothing more than writing, talking, laughing, and crying about Boston sports. I grew up outside Boston and have lived and breathed Boston sports since before I can remember being able to think.

I currently work part-time in the Sports department at the Metrowest Daily News where I cover local high school sports. Twelve months ago I started my own Boston sports blog called Title Town on the sportsblog.com network. You may have heard of it (not likely). I moved on to publishing Title Town on the OverTime.news sports network, where I also regularly hosted the popular podcast, Sports Roundup.

And now I'm beyond excited to be a part of the CLNS team!

Boston sports is life.
