Rick Porcello Shines But The Sox Lineup Does Not As The Red Sox Fall 1-0 To The Tampa Bay Rays

Written by

The Boston Red Sox failed to give starting pitcher Rick Porcello any runs to work with in today's 1-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. Though pitching as if it were 2016, Porcello was still not good enough as the Rays starter, 29-year old Alex Cobb, was just a bit better. The Red Sox drop game 3 of a 4 game set to go down 2 games to 1 to the Rays.

Joe Danker

My name is Joe Danker. I'm a lifelong New England sports fan who loves nothing more than writing, talking, laughing, and crying about Boston sports. I grew up outside Boston and have lived and breathed Boston sports since before I can remember being able to think.

I currently work part-time in the Sports department at the Metrowest Daily News where I cover local high school sports. Twelve months ago I started my own Boston sports blog called Title Town on the sportsblog.com network. You may have heard of it (not likely). I moved on to publishing Title Town on the OverTime.news sports network, where I also regularly hosted the popular podcast, Sports Roundup.

And now I'm beyond excited to be a part of the CLNS team!

Boston sports is life.
