Boston Celtics Go With James Young At No. 17

Written by

With the first pick, Celtics went Smart. Now, they are going Young.

The Boston Celtics are in a shooting mode.

The Celtics, who selected Marcus Smart with their first pick, drafted James Young with the 17th pick.  Young is one of the youngest players in this year's draft at the age of 18.

Young, aka True tp, has the ability to take over any game, especially in big moments. The former Kentucky Wildcat has a sweet stroke and most importantly, can take hard to the tin (memory lane: dunk on UConn).

The 6-foot-7 swingman posted 14.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Teams were impressed by his workouts prior to the draft.
