Boston Celtics: The Love affair continues

Written by
Boston Celtics: The Love affair continues Jim Davis-Boston Globe

Kevin Love was in Boston for the weekend, and Twitter almost exploded with rumors, and pictures of Kevin Love around town.

The Minnesota Timberwolves star power forward Kevin Love very well could be traded before the start of next season, which would be the smart thing to do considering all the reports out there that he’s not going to re-sign with the Timberwolves.

The Boston Celtics are one of the many teams that are considered one of the teams rumored to be interested in landing the star power forward. While the Celtics are in a state of rebuilding, they do have the assets to make a trade for Love. The Celtics have nine draft picks in the next 5 drafts, and also young players that can be enticing to the Timberwolves front office.

Love was in Boston this weekend to “see what it’s like” and once word of that got out Twitter exploded. Here's just a few of the hundreds of thousands of tweets that went out, including the face of Boston sports, Big Papi.

When Love got to Boston he met up with newly acquired New England Patriot Darrelle Revis the night he got into town. He went to  went to a game at Fenway because he wanted to experience a game first hand. There was also rumors floating around that the man himself, Rob Gronkowski, took Love around Boston, what's wrong with that? The Gronk knows how to have a good time.

The Celtics aren't the team that's atop Love's wishlist, that would be the Bulls and Warriors, But with Danny Ainge's history, he would be able to put a contender around the likes of Love and Rondo. It may be nothing, it may be something. here's to hoping it's a whole bunch of something.
