The Houston Rockets were eliminated after a devastating buzzer-beater three-pointer by Damian Lillard in Friday's heated Game 6, and Houston is looking to upgrade its current roster apparently.
ESPN's Marc Stein believes Rajon Rondo, who has been linked to multiple trades this past trade deadline, could be peaking Rockets' general manager Daryl Morey's interest, if he's available that is.
Stein says that "it's inevitable" the Rockets will call to check in with Danny Ainge to see if Rondo is available.
The talks between the two teams have been off and on around Jeff Green and Omer Asik. But if the Rockets want to pursue Rondo, Boston must get a viable package, including Chandler Parsons, who in the past has been untouchable.
The NBA draft lottery is weeks away, but that won't stop teams from panning out their offseason plans. If Boston is interested, Houston may get their wishes -- that's if the price is right.
