Get tickets to tonight's game in Detroit

The Boston Celtics are in a free-fall, having lost seven in a row.  The Pistons aren't doing much better.  Tonight, these two bottom feeders square off in a matchup where the only thing that matters is draft position.  Boston continues to hold onto that fourth slot, whereas the Pistons are trying to maintain having one of the eight worst records in the NBA.  That's about the only thing to look forward to tonight.  And oh yeah, the Pistons are 2-1 in the season series against Boston this year.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Tankapalooza: Are the Celtics tanking? Who knows.  But members of the Pistons organization this week said that they are going to "experiment" with young players the rest of the season.  Hmmmm...experiment.  Same thing M.L. Carr said regarding the 1997 Tankalicious Celtics.  Detroit owes a first round draft choice to Charlotte if it falls out of the top eight.  They have major incentives to lose games. How will the Celtics respond?: Rajon Rondo called out the team following a loss at home to the pathetic Philadelphia 76ers.  Brad Stevens and Kelly Olynyk voiced displeasure to the media as well.  Will Boston come out guns ablazing or will they continue to go through the motions? Will Avery Bradley play?: He's actually listed as questionable.

NOTES

The Celtics have dropped 11 straight road games. Rajon Rondo will once again not play, being it being the second night of a back-to-back. Home teams are 42-22 in games John Goble, tonight's lead ref, officiates.

PREDICTION

This is going to be ugly.  But the Pistons really want to lose.  Whereas the Celtics may show some pride after last night's pitiful showing at home against Philadelphia.  They'll bounce back.

Boston Celtics 96, Detroit Pistons 89
