After taking a blow to the head with about three minutes left in Friday night's loss to the Lakers, Jared Sullinger sat out of the Celtics loss to the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.
The Celtics big man stayed back at the team hotel after waking up with concussion-like symptoms. Brad Stevens spoke on the status of Sullinger before tip-off Saturday.
"I don't know the exact diagnosis, and what the standard recovery time is," Stevens said. "I knew it in school very well, and I assume it's similar now, which would make Utah unlikely."
Stevens also said that Sullinger, the former Ohio State Buckeye, did not participate in any team activities on Saturday.
Sullinger is coming off of a 12-point 12-rebound performance, with nine of his boards coming on the offensive end. The undermanned C's could certainly use his height back in the lineup sooner rather than later.
