Kyle Draper: Don't Expect a Kris Humphries Buy-Out; "Celtics Like Him"

Written by

Host of the Boston Celtics Pre-Game Show Doesn't Expect the Celtics to Buy Out Kris Humprhies

BOSTON -- Buyout season is upon us.  Glen Davis has already been bought out by the Orlando Magic.  Now there's talk that Danny Granger being bought out by the Philadelphia 76ers to sign with a contender.  So who will be a likely candidate for the Boston Celtics?

According to Celtics Pre-Game Live Host Kyle Draper, no one.

"I don't see any buyouts" said Draper on Celtics Beat with Rich Conte and Dr. Andre Snellings.

Kris Humphries has been mentioned as a popular name amongst fans and media members alike due to his expiring contract and his tenure in the league.  However, Draper reports that the Celtics are fans of Humphries, and he expects the veteran forward to stick around throughout the remainder of the season.

"People have been talking about Kris Humphries.  I know the Celtics really do like Kris Humphries.  So there's no need to buy him out."

Draper talked about Gerald Wallace but stated that he doesn't think Wallace would go for it, and that the Celtics wouldn't be willing to cut the check.

Draper would seem to be a reliable source, as just a few days ago, he conducted an exclusive interview with Celtics boss Danny Ainge on Comcast Sports Net in which they discussed an array of topics.

To hear Draper discuss and recap the Ainge interview with Rich and Dr. Snellings on Celtics Beat, as well as his proclamation that he expects the Celtics to keep Humphries throughout the remainder of the season -- you can listen to the interview below:
