Chris Johnson is sticking around with the Boston Celtics longer than he initially thought.
Johnson, who has provided great leverage in Boston's backcourt in the previous eight games, will stay with the Boston Celtics for the remainder of the 2014 season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

There was a decent amount of uncertainty whether Johnson would receive a contract for the rest of this campaign due to a roster breakdown. The 6-foot-6, 201-pound shooting guard has brought everything to the table Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge and first-year head coach Brad Stevens could ask for and more.
Johnson has averaged 7.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game this season.
