Minutes after Celtics shooting guard Avery Bradley went down with a sprained ankle in the second quarter of Tuesday's 93-86 loss against the Miami Heat, Boston's front office wasted no time to find a replacement.
Vander Blue, who was released by the Philadelphia 76ers during a training-camp contract prior to the 2013-14 season, has been picked up by the Boston Celtics on a 10-day contract, according to a league sources who told Yahoo! Sports.
Blue left Marquette after a three-year stay. The first-year guard has averaged 19.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists in four games with the Delaware 87ers.
Celtics' backcourt had limitations going into the game with Rajon Rondo's small minutes and Jerryd Bayless, but now with Bradley injured, another addition had to be made.
