Report: Boston Celtics Still Interested in Omer Asik, Despite Houston's Self-Inflicted Deadline Passing

Written by

The Boston Celtics seem determined to complete a deal with the Houston Rockets.

Omer Asik, who has been highly coveted by the Celtics, still may be dealt to the Boston organization, according to a source who told Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports. Last week, Boston was a team NBA sources thought was the distinct front-runner for the 7-footer's services.

With Lee having a little confrontation with first-year head coach Brad Stevens and the Celtics' struggles as of late, talks may be on with an urge to have a deal in place. In the past, Boston's front office have been relentless reaching deals that were close to being forgotten, look at the Clippers' unifnished business for instance.
