Rajon Rondo Constructs 5-on-5 Scrimmage After Practice

Written by

Anyone want to play some 5-on-5 basketball?

Rajon Rondo does.

Rondo, who has intensified his play in practice, went as far as organizing a scrimmage post practice. He along with eight of his teammates and one the Boston Celtics assistant coach Walter McCarty participated in the game.

One of his fellow partners in crime, Jared Sullinger, wanted to test Rondo and help him increase his mobility, so that when the 27-year-old point guard returns to action he can be fully ready.

"The main reason why I stepped out there was to help build [Rondo's] confidence for when he's back on the court," Sullinger said.

It does seem like Rondo is taking his time to revive his glory days, especially after contributing highly in the scrimmage with impressive dribbling skills, but his aggression and falling down on his knee is a positive sign moving forward.
