The Boston Celtics head back home to to face the Los Angeles Clippers after a loss last night against the Nets in Brooklyn. Former Celtics coach Doc Rivers makes his first return to Boston as the Clippers' coach as the Clippers are coming off a Monday night win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Protect the paint. The Celtics have had issues in the past protecting the rim. With both DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin as two of the best finishers at the rim, the Celtics have to find some way to minimize the amount of points the Clippers score in the paint.  CP3. The Celtics had a difficult time taming a recently injured Deron Williams last night in Brooklyn. It will be intriguing to see how Boston plans on countering Chris Paul. Injuries. The Clippers are missing four players from their lineup tonight due to injuries. The Celtics can use this to their advantage tonight. Warm reception or the cold shoulder? It should be interesting to hear the reception Doc Rivers gets from the Boston crowd. Rivers has said that he expects both cheers and boos.

Back-to-Back. The Celtics generally don't fare well in the second night of back to back games. Anybody's game. The Celtics are 5-5 at home while the Clippers are 6-6 on the road; tonight's game could go either way. Boston Off Rtg: 102.7 (21st) Def Rtg: 103.6 (12th) Pace: 92.8 (21th) Los Angeles Off Rtg: 108.1 (4th) Def Rtg: 103.5 (10th) Pace: 95.8 (8th)

This is a difficult one. Logically, the Clippers should win; however, I'm picking Boston to win, by a small margin though.

Boston Celtics 98,  Los Angeles Clippers 96
