In an effort to debunk some recent reports that Rajon Rondo could return as soon as they end of November, Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge said he does not expect his franchise-player back before December.
Aine, however, did say that he was pleased with Rondo's progress on Thursday.
"Rondo's making great progress," Ainge said. "I don't have a return date for him, but I really like what I see in his attitude and effort. He's putting in the time to get better and he's making steady progress."
Aingle also alluded to the fact that Rondo is most likely to return sometime in mid-December, which has been the plan all along.
"I don't see anything happening this month," Ainge said. "I think that when we get into the middle of December, it could be a week-by-week situation for him"
Rondo is currently still waiting for clearance from doctors to begin full-contact drills, but it was reported last week that he was taking part in 1v1 and 3v3 games. Regardless of what he is doing and when he is cleared, all can agree that the Celtics are anxiously awaiting his return.
