Boston Celtics forward Jared Sullinger missed practice on Tuesday with an apparent knee injury. The former Ohio State Buckeye underwent an MRI on the knee to see how serious the injury was.
Fortunately for the streaking Celtics, it doesn't seem too serious.
According to the Boston Globe, Sullinger is listed as "day to day" with what is considered a bone bruise. His status for tonight's game against the Charlotte Bobcats is unknonwn.
Boston is entering the game at 4-4, on a four-game winning streak. Sullinger has played a key role off of the bench, and would certainly be a significant loss if he cannot play against the 3-4 Bobcats.
Sullinger is averaging 11.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in almost 20 minutes of action per-game this season. He sustained the injury in a "collision under the basket," according to Brad Stevens.
