In what has been a frustrating season for the team thus far, the Boston Celtics cannot afford to be “bitten” by the “injury bug.” The team received some good news in regards to young guard Avery Bradley who is battling an index finger injury, one that he re-aggravated in Sunday night’s 88-77 loss to the Detroit Pistons. Per Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald, everything appears to be okay on that front.

Avery Bradley re-aggravated his left index finger during loss to Pistons. X-ray taken here was negative.

In three contests this season, the 22-year-old has averaged 9.7 points per game. His best output point-wise so far in this campaign was the 13 he scored tonight. He also contributed eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Bradley and the Celtics return to action on Monday evening when they travel to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies . Tipoff is at 8: 00 PM.
