Game Preview: Boston Celtics at Toronto Raptors

Written by

Boston Celtics (1-4, 0-2 away) at Toronto Raptors (3-1, 1-1 home) Air Canada Centre at 7:00 pm on CSNNE Officials: Courtney Kirkland, Kane Fitzgerald, Marat Kogut Line: Toronto -2.5 (192.5) Get tickets to tonight's game in Toronto

Boston Celtics: PG: Avery Bradley SG: Courtney Lee SF: Jeff Green PF: Brandon Bass C: Kris Humphries

Toronto Raptors: PG: Kyle Lowry SG: DeMar DeRozan SF: Rudy Gay PF: Amir Johnson C: Jonas Valanciunas

Rajon Rondo, OUT (Knee) Keith Bogans, OUT (Thumb)

Jeff Green breaking out of his shooting slump: After getting off to a horrid 11-40 start (27.5%) to open the exhibition season, Green showed signs life by going 5 of 11 from the field yesterday in Brooklyn.  He'll look to build on this improvement tonight. Jared Sullinger rebounds?: Sullinger led the C's with 6.5 boards per game through the first 4 contests, but was surprisingly held without a rebound in 18 minutes of action against the Nets. Point guard depth chart: In Rajon Rondo's absence thus far it appears to be Avery Bradley one, Jordan Crawford two, and Phil Pressey three.  Keep an eye on this storyline as the preseason continues.

Boston fell to the Raptors 97-89 in the preseason opener for both teams back on October 7th at the Garden. Tonight's game mark's a homecoming for Celtics rookie Kelly Olynyk, a native of Toronto.

Normally I'd have a hard time picking the Celtics to win on the second night of road back to backs, but in the preseason when nothing matters and lineups are unpredictable, I don't think that's much of a factor.  I expect Olynyk to have a big game in front of his hometown crowd, possibly winning them over while leading the C's to victory down the stretch.

Boston Celtics 101, Toronto Raptors 96
