The Boston Celtics will head to Brooklyn to face the Nets in their fifth preseason game. Attaing their first preseason win on Saturday against the Knicks, the Celtics will meet former teammates Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett as they look to record their second consecutive win.

Tonight's preseason game will be Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett's first game against their former team. It should be interesting how the Celtics receive their former teammates. Tonight will also be the first time the newest Celtics, Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, and MarShon Brooks, return to the Barclay's Center since the Brooklyn-Boston trade that took place this summer.

Nets coach Jason Kidd will bench Kevin Garnett tonight so that he can rest. Though there was a possibility that Paul Pierce would also sit, it has been confirmed that he will play tonight against his former team.

I think that the Nets will take this one tonight against the Celtics. This is young, new-look team that the Celtics are working with; one that needs time to jell and form chemistry together. On top of the new players, the Celtics also have fresh faces in the coaching staff. It's going to take more than the four preseason games the C's have played to put together a winning team.
