Washburn released the news via Twitter earlier this morning:
The #celtics will open up their 2013-14 season and the Brad Stevens era against the Toronto #Raptors, according to two NBA sources
The Celtics got the better of Toronto this past year, going 3-1 through four contests. However, with a new-look roster and a brand new head coach in Stevens, it would be wise to take last season's record with a grain of salt.
But judging by the each team's projected roster for opening night, the Celtics still appear to be the superior squad. With that said, Rajon Rondo's status will play a large role in determining a favorite for the game. If he plays, Boston looks to be in good shape, but if he doesn't, then the Raptors have just as good a chance as the Celtics to start the season off with a win.
