Danny Ainge addressed the media for the first time since the Doc Rivers trade saga began on Tuesday. Jared Weiss was on the scene to report on how it all went down and where the Celtics go from here.
Ainge told CLNS Radio that the league mandated that in order for the NBA to approve the Rivers deal, the Clippers and Celtics can not make any further player trades until the conclusion of the 2013-2014 season.
He also told CLNS Radio that after it appeared that the trade was dead last week, Doc told Ainge that he would coach the Celtics this season.
Tune in Thursday and Friday as Weiss reports from the Celtics’ draft party with a return of The Garden Report on Friday morning from the draft party. Follow Jared @CLNS_JaredWeiss for updates from the Celtics’ war room.
