Report: Boston Celtics Attempted To Trade For Paul Millsap And/Or Al Jefferson At Deadline

Written by

A few days ago, CSNNE's Greg Dickerson tweeted about a trade that the Boston Celtics tried to make at this season's trade deadline.

It is likely that Paul Pierce would have been a piece going back to Utah in that trade scenario. Interestingly enough, in a report by Matt Moore of CBSSports.com, he discusses the fact that both Millsap and Jefferson will become unrestricted free agents after this season and that it would take waiving Pierce and his $5 million of guaranteed money to be able to sign either player this offseason.
