According Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe, the Celtics will send a Summer League team to Orlando that will not feature two of Boston's most promising young prospects: Avery Bradley and Jared Sullinger.
Both Avery Bradley and Jared Sullinger are expected to take the time off to rest, Bradley for the wear-and-tear of this past season and Sullinger to recover from the back surgery he underwent earlier this year.
Bradley has also missed the two previous Summer Leagues, most recently while recovering from double shoulder surgery.
Washburn also reports that the Celtics will participate in only one of the two summer leagues instead of participating in both like they did last year.
The lineup will instead showcase Fab Melo, whom the Celtics acquired in last year's draft, along with the Celtics' 2013 first-round pick. The rest of the lineup will be comprised of undrafted rookies and free agents.
