Two days after falling to the Indiana Pacers the Boston Celtics bounced back with a narrow victory over the Detroit Pistons 92-90.
The Celtics inserted Mike Moser into the starting lineup for Colton Iverson. Along with Phil Pressey, Marcus Smart, Kelly Olynyk, and Chris Johnson.
Marcus Smart continued to struggle shooting the ball going only 4-13 and shooting 2-7 from the 3-point line. He finished the night with 16 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. He also had 4 turnovers.
Olynyk continued to play well scoring 16 points and ripping down 9 rebounds. He also shot well from the free throw line going 3-4
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope continued his hot summer league play scoring 26 points, and he also collected 9 rebounds on the night. He missed a late 3-point jumper that could’ve gave the Pistons the victory.
The Celtics continue to be plagued from the 3-point line shooting only 8-29 which is just under 28%
The Celtics were able to get 6 players into double figures and made had two others score seven points. It was great distribution among the Celtics scoring.
