Written by

David Krejci netted three goals Tuesday evening to record his third-career hat-trick to guide the Bruins past the Florida Panthers by the score of 4-1.

The Bruins got off to a very slow start after the Olympics when they dropped their first two games but now they have won their past two. Tuesday the Bruins got goals from ad avid Krejci and one from Jarome Iginla.

The scoring in this game opened roughly 7:29 into the first when David Krejci took advantage of a sloppy Tom. Gilbert turnover and took the puck and faked down and Thomas bit and they went top left to give the Bruins the early 1-0 lead. A nice Thomas save but a long juicy rebound that got to Jarome Iginla gave the a Bruins the quick 2-0 lead 11:01 into the game.

A nice Kevin Miller play along the boards and a beautiful feed to David Krejci led to the Bruins 3rd goal and was Krejci's 15th of the year. During the third, the Panthers struck first as Brian Campbell netted his 6th goal of the year after a feed from Sean Bergenheim which cut the Bruins lead to 3-1. The Bruins responded roughly seven minutes later at the 19:46 mark as David Krejci netted his 16th goal of the year in empty-net fashion with assists given out to Milan Lucic and Jarome Iginla.

The Bruins got a brilliant performance from Chad Johnson as he stopped 23-of-24 shots for a .958 save percentage.

Tim Thomas wasn't too shabby for the a panthers as he stopped 35-of-38 shots for a .921 save percentage.

Krejci spoke about his performance."I didn't think I had another option," Krejci said when asked about his reputation to set up teammates for empty-enters instead do shooting. "I already knew I two goals already, so why not go for it?"

The a ruins will be back at it on Mar. 6th when they look to get revenge on the Washington a Capitals at home. The Capitals beat the Bruins 4-2 on Mar. 1st.
