Report: Bruins/Penguins Series to Begin on Saturday

Written by

According to both Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com and John Shannon from Sportsnet.ca, the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins is slated to begin on Saturday evening at 8 pm in Pittsburgh.

The entire schedule for this series will not be releasing until the Western Conference second round series is over between the Detriot Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night.

With the series not starting until Saturday, it will officially mark one of week inbetween games for Boston and will give the team much needed rest and practice time to prepare for a very exciting matchup with the Penguins. Having a week off, should help defenseman including Andrew Ferrence and Wade Redden heal up and could make them avaliable for this round.

CLNSRadio.com will have plenty of Bruins/Penguins coverage leading up to Game 1 on Saturday.
